  • A little history of our Church

    In 1901, brothers from our Capital, Havana visited our town to hold meetings in different homes. Led by a Puerto Rican named Félix Álamo, from the Biblical Society and the American Society of Treaties, under the leadership of Rev. J. Milton Green, they brought the evangelic and Presbyterian message.

    That seed quickly sprouted and the Presbyterian Evangelic Works in Güines were officially opened on Sunday January 5, 1902, in a house rented for that purpose located at No. 60 of Havana Street of this municipality with Rev. Waldo A. Stevenson as its first ordained Pastor.
